VectorBee 3.0.0 is now available, featuring
17+ new or optimized features,
including:
1. Vector Design Wizard
In VectorBee 3.0.0, we have added the Vector Design Wizard.
Here, we can help you design your custom vector with just a few
mouse clicks, utilizing optimized and validated backbones and
components. You can also quickly get your vector to your bench
thanks to seamless integration with VectorBuilder. Save time,
money, and sanity by having our cloning experts with decades of
collective experience efficiently and quickly bring your ideal,
experiment-ready vector to life.
2. New Workspace Design
We have redesigned the workspace into three functional zones:
the Project Dashboard allows viewing, editing, and annotation of
DNA sequences; the Vector Design Wizard integrates the highly
intuitive, user friendly Design Studio from VectorBuilder,
enabling you to easily design high quality and experiment-ready
vectors; and our Bio Tools Collection contains expansive tools
for biological analyses (such as sequence alignment, bio
calculators, and CpG island prediction tool), which allows you
to complete more research tasks directly within VectorBee.
3. Alignment
In VectorBee 3.0.0, we have added support for editing
chromatogram samples in alignment projects, along with
improvements to the visualization of and interaction between the
chromatogram and sequence. Additionally, we have added several
new features to make your workflow smoother and more efficient,
including more sequence import options, saving alignment drafts,
and sample information editing.
3.1 Chromatogram Sample Editing
We now support editing chromatogram samples in your alignment
project, allowing you to review base-calling and adjust it more
precisely.
3.2 More Sequence Import Options
More import options are now available in Alignment tools that
allow utilization of various databases. You can import sequences
from NCBI, your vector, or popular vector and component
databases from VectorBuilder.
3.3 Sample Information Editing
You can use Sample Information to edit the name and other
details of the alignment sample.
3.4 Saving Alignment Drafts
You can save your unaligned sequences as a draft in alignment
tools, keeping them ready for subsequent alignment projects.
4. Printing Alignment Projects
In VectorBee 3.0.0, we have added a feature to print alignment
projects. It allows you to easily generate clear and
well-formatted printouts for reporting and sharing.
5. Enhanced Enzyme List Visualization
You can easily visualize the restriction sites for specific
enzymes in your current project via the new feature Enzyme List.
6. Enhanced Translation in Edit Feature
We have enhanced the user experience for viewing and editing
features. When the feature type is CDS, feature translation will
be activated. You can select the translation frame, choose to
display the CDS label on the vector and sequence maps, and view
the predicted protein size based on the translation settings.
7. Translate with Specific Codons
In VectorBee 3.0.0, you can designate specific codons as start
codons to identify ORFs.
8. Search Function for DNA Sequences on Top or Bottom Strands
A more flexible search feature is now available in VectorBee
3.0.0, allowing you to find sequences on top or bottom strands.
Minor new/optimized features:
1. Import primer sequences from more file formats to find primer binding sites.
2. Export/Copy your vector map with bold line.
3. Display genomic sequences using their actual genomic coordinates.
4. Use the Shift key to select multiple segments to Create Feature or Edit Feature.
5. Optimization of the rules for detecting common features.
Other Notes:
1.Fixed several reported bugs. Thank you for reporting them so
that we can continue improving VectorBee!
